My January TBR

Hello readers,

today I want to bring you my January TBR. Lets face it this is going to be a quick post because I am headed towards the end of the semester which means exams are coming up. So this post is mainly about finishing books I have already started and need to finish and one (hopefully two) new book/s.

So lets start with the books I want to finish this month before we go into the ones that I have to finish this month as they are required reading.

First book I want to finish is The Girl in the Spiders Web by David Lagercrantz, which is continueing my favorite thriller trilogy ever, The Millenium trilogy by Stieg Larsson. I am already about 60% through this. My feelings on it are really mixed, there is definetly a lot I like about it but at the moment I am pretty sure that my review will end up being a rant for several reasons I do not want to mention before I have completed it and thought them through. Afterall that book deserves a fair review. Right now however I have a love hate relationship with it. So stayed tuned for my review which for sure will go up this month to see more in depth what problems I had with this one.

Second book is Alices Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. A book that I didn`t really like as a child but that was more due to the illustrations in the book that I had. I currently have an ebook version of it that I started to read a bit in a couple of weeks ago, but I also listened in on an audiobook, so I do not know which one I will continue or if I will mix it up but I like it way better now than I did as a child.

Then I have to complete on books of my required reading which I only know the swedish title of so I am not going to mention it any further in this post, as well as a whole novel for another class which I also just know the danish title of so I won`t mention it either.

Now on to the new books. Thank god it was christmas because I got to pick three new books for January instead of the usual two per month (which is a goal I set myself for this year).

Since I am buddy reading Red Rising by Pierce Brown with Merphy in February I already had to order it now to get it in time so this one is out. But the two new books I will hopefully read this month are Harry Potter and The Philosophers Stone by J.K. Rowling and my actually most anticipated release of 2018, the new Patrick Hedström and Erika Falck novel by Camilla Läckberg, The Girl in the Woods. I know that The Girl in the Woods won`t be out in english yet (comes out February 19th) but I just went with the german version because I didn`t want to wait another month. With that said guess how excited I am to pick this up.
As for Harry Potter I am actually a little bit scared because I tried to read it when I was about the age of ten or eleven and couldn`t really get into it although all of my other friends loved it and hyped it and had everything from Harry Potter, but I want to give it another try now that I am more of a reader and more into fantasy.

That would be it for today. Let me know what you are reading and I see you again soon for another bookish post.

Take care,
